I was not the lead designer on any of the following projects but, as the team member in charge of 3D modeling our projects in SketchUp, I still had the opportunity to collaborate and influence some of the design decisions. I would sometimes see solutions and opportunities that cannot always be detected when working in 2D during the design process.
