Transitions Mental Health Community Center

For my first project of third year I was given program involving housing for mental health patients who are transitioning to eventually living on their own and a community center involving the arts that draws the community of San Luis Obispo in.  For an added twist our site has an existing historical building that I was required to rehabilitate: Sunny Acres Orphanage.  With the expected residents in mind, I created a design that does not overwhelm the original building, and allows as much direct contact to the out doors as possible.
